A new approach to orthodontic malocclusion diagnosis

From the rational use of CBCT to a novel 3D cephalometric analysis
Planmeca

Ever since its introduction into dentistry over two decades ago, CBCT has been increasingly used for orthodontic diagnosis, treatment planning and research. Despite the various suggested indications of CBCT, the scientific evidence of the fact that its utilisation improves diagnosis, treatment plans and treatment outcomes has only recently begun to emerge for some of these applications.

In this webinar, Dr Giovanna Perrotti addresses some use cases for CBCT in orthodontics and presents the all-new Planmeca Romexis® 3D Cephalometry software. The software features a novel 3D multiplanar cephalometry named the Total Face Approach, which is especially useful for the nosological classification of skeletal malocclusions. Dr Perrotti will explain in detail how to use of the software and will show the diagnostic phases addressed with this method, illustrating all the benefits for diagnosis making.
